Spelling to Communicate (S2C) Practitioner

Communication is a human right. 

I work with Nonspeaking individuals and their families to provide access to communication through the use of a alphabet letterboard.

I coach my students in the purposeful motor skills of pointing to spell. Using a 26 letter stencil, students work their way up to using a keyboard and eventually independent typing. Giving them the opportunity to express their needs, desires, thoughts and opinions. 

I use a range of sensory regulation techniques to help my clients feel calm and focussed on their motor skill building. Written lessons, music, art, movement, are examples of tools used in our sessions, always catered to the individuals sensory needs.
